Tridel Community Worx

As a recent graduate, it is exceedingly difficult to procure a professional position. One of my community leaders, connected me with the Employment Specialist at Tridel. A couple of weeks later, they offered me with a pivotal opportunity as an IT Summer Intern to grow my personal and professional skills. During this time, I learned a plethora of transferrable skills to better myself, the company, and the people around me. This opportunity has been the most inspiring endeavour in my entire career. Shortly thereafter, I was offered a full-time position with Tridel.

Since joining BOLT in 2012, my career and experience in the construction industry has been extremely positive. Being hired as a labourer by Deltera, a member of the Tridel Group of Companies, and BOLT gave me access to mentors, training, and industry knowledge. Between then and now, I have held several positions that have put me on a path to desire and achieve more. The next steps in my career are to leave the labour side of the industry and join the management side of the industry as a construction superintendent.

I was losing confidence in finding meaningful employment when community leaders from Regent Park connected me with Asal and Maggie from Tridel through Tridel Community Worx. Under Asal and Maggie’s guidance, I was able to brush up my interviews skills and learned how to prepare for hiring events. This also played a major role in my personal and professional growth.
