“Celebrating Our Community” was the premise of this year’s Summer Jam at Leslie Nymark. Residents from Leslie Nymark, Tridel & TCHC staff members came together to commemorate the installation of a community-inspired mural by Toronto-based artist, Jassey Pacho also known as “Phade”. This public art project offered residents a new way of engaging with the idea of community, envisioning a strong and vibrant neighbourhood of the newly revitalized community of Leslie Nymark.
The day was filled with fun activities such as face painting, music, DJ performances and local food for everyone to enjoy and take part in. School supplies from Tridel’s Backpack Drive were also distributed to youth from Leslie Nymark returning to school in September.
